My Education
I completed my medical under graduation from Coimbatore medical college in the year 1997. I have a special interest in women’s health and decided to pursue the field as my chosen career path. I completed my postgraduation M.D.(Obg &Gyn) at the prestigious PSG Institute of medical sciences as the topper of her batch of 2006 and joined the same institute as an academic assistant Professor in my tenure till 2010.
I developed wide-ranging skills in obstetrics and gynaecology including high-risk pregnancy, complicated caesarean section operations, surgeries for uterine fibroids and abnormal uterine bleeding, ovarian and uterine cancer surgery, screening, and early detection of cervical cancer including colposcopy. I was promoted as Associate Professor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the ACS medical college, Chennai. Now I am associated with the KMCH institute of Health sciences and Research as a faculty and as a Consultant in the Kovai Medical Center and Hospital, Coimbatore.

I have dramatically improved the morbidity and recovery time associated with these surgeries. It is true that these laparoscopic procedures have generally not been widely adopted by gynecologists and are often performed by general surgeons under the guise of gynecology. I have had the privilege of breaking that barrier, establishing myself as one of the few gynecologists actually performing these major laparoscopic surgeries.
These include total laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic myomectomies, laparoscopic management of ectopic pregnancy, laparoscopic ovarian tumor surgery, and minimally invasive surgeries for endometriosis. Additionally, I have taken a keen interest in the often neglected field of operative hysteroscopy and excel in both diagnostic and operative hysteroscopic procedures.
